Photo by Nigel Tadyanehondo on Unsplash Photo by Nigel Tadyanehondo on Unsplash[/caption]

Custom window decals are a nice and easy way to change the look of your store or business. You can use them in many different ways and be creative. Some people are unsure if they should get them, or how customers will receive them. In this article, you will learn five reasons for custom window decals.

Custom Window Decals Bring in More Business

When you have custom window decals on your stores or businesses windows, you can bring in more customers. Think about it, when you are walking down a street filled with shops, you usually only go into the ones you know or ones that catch your eye. With custom window decals, you can easily draw your customer’s attention. You will have them coming into your store or business, leaving your competition behind in the dust.

You Can Be Unique

Something that is great about custom window decals is that they are custom! You can design anything you can possibly imagine. This means you can be unique and stand apart from the crowd. People love seeing quirky or interesting designs in a company’s window. You can use bright colors, innovative sayings, or crazy images- your customers will love it! You may even be deemed an Instagram worthy spot, which will bring in more customers than you could ever imagine.

It Uses the Space You Have

Most stores or business just have mannequins or “open” signs/decals in the window. These are great; however, you have a lot of marketing potential space you are not using if you do the same. When you get custom window decals, it will change that for the better. You can highlight sales or promotions you have going on so customers can see them from outside. Since most people have a hard time resisting a sale, this will be a goldmine opportunity for you and your company.

Use Them to Be a Part of The Décor

Custom window decals don’t have to just bring customers in, you can actually use them to dress up your store or business. Are there animals or drawings that you love? You could make them into custom window decals to be a part of your décor. They could completely change the way your space feels and give an interesting or cool vibe that customers and your team will love.

They Are Cost Effective

When you purchase custom window decals for your business, you don’t have to spend too much money. They are cost effective and will last you for a long period of time. This means you will not have to invest in banners or other forms of advertisements. Your business will greatly appreciate the advertisement, and your wallet will appreciate the low cost.

Those are the top five reasons for custom window decals. Remember that they can bring in more business, can be unique, use the space you have, are a part of the décor, and are cost effective. No matter what type of store or business you have, you can create amazing custom window decals that you will love and bring in more business.

Restaurant Menu Printing 101

Photo by Brigitte Tohm on Unsplash[/caption]

Restaurant menu printing is an effective way to advertise your business. Most people don’t take the time to think about the tiny details that go into finding success in the restaurant business. Location, hours of operation, and style are all large factors that owners and managers consider. But, some of the smaller details have just as big of an impact on sales.

Restaurant menu printing is one way to enhance your business. If done right, an effective hard copy of your restaurant’s menu can be a great marketing tool. It can improve sales, increase order frequency, and solidify customer loyalty.

Size Matters

A lot of thought should go into choosing the size of your menu. Menus that are too small can be difficult to read. But, menus that are too large can be awkward and look sloppy. Aim to make your menu big enough to include all the items you are looking to sell, while still being readable. Trying to reduce the font size of your menu items might save you money in printing costs, but it can also look unprofessional and unattractive.
On the contrary, restaurant menu printing that uses a large font size can look clumsy. Too much open space can make your business look like it is lacking something. Try out different options for font type and size to see what works best for the items listed on your menu. The right choice will look clean and be easy to read.

Detail in Design

Another important aspect of effective restaurant menu printing is choosing the right design. Your menu should be eye-catching and attractive. Choosing the wrong design can make your business look stale. This can turn potential customers away. A design that is too busy can prevent you from properly highlighting your most profitable menu items or best sellers. Choose a design that is simple yet appetizing. Your customers will save it to order from another time, and might even pass it along to their family and friends.

Be Selective

Restaurant menu printing is a way to highlight the food your business serves. Although you want to have a variety of choices to offer to your customers, be selective in what you put on the menu. Too many items can make it difficult for customers to make a choice. This can lead your potential customers to choose a different restaurant that offers them an easier decision. A smaller menu can have great benefits to your business. There is less room for error with a smaller menu. Your staff will have less confusion and can take time to get to know the menu in and out. A more knowledgeable food service staff leads to better customer satisfaction.

Making the right choices when it comes to restaurant menu printing can have a larger impact on your business than you might expect. Talk to a printing specialist about making the perfect menu to benefit your restaurant. Let your printed menu increase your sales and enhance your restaurant’s profits.

Tips for Designing Business Cards

Photo by Edho Pratama on Unsplash

In the digital world we live in today, we often forget how much the tried-and-true marketing and selling methods matter.  Business cards are, and always have been, a key staple when introducing your business to potential clients.  Furthermore, an effectively designed, attention-grabbing business card will keep your business or service in the forefront of your clients’ minds.

The phrase, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression,” is the pinnacle of truth when it comes to handing a potential client a business card.  Follow these helpful tips and you will have a great conversation starter as well as a fantastic marketing tool.

Get Professional Help

Numerous companies offer hundreds of business cards for a great buy.  The fact is, they’re cheap.  The price is cheap because the product is cheap.  The very last thing you want to present to a potential client is a flimsy piece of paper that is poorly designed, confusing, or unprofessional.  A professional graphic designer knows your business cards should quickly convey who you are, what you value, and reflect well on your business.  Custom printers and graphic designers can easily create innovative yet professional cards using the appropriate paper stock and ink.  Your business card is not something you change every month.  It is a permanent first and lasting impression that speaks volumes about you and your business.

Follow the KISS Principle

A design principle noted by the U.S. Navy in 1960, KISS is an acronym for, “Keep it Simple, Stupid.”  In summary, this concept means that most systems work best when kept simple rather than made complicated by unnecessary complexity.  The KISS principle is perfect when applied to designing business cards.  Include the pertinent information such as your name, business name or service you provide, phone number, and email address or address (optional).  Consultants and home-office workers do not always need to provide their street address.  It is completely up to you whether you include it or not.

Avoid the Clutter

Feel free to include an image, embossed logo, or tagline.  When designing your business card, get as colorful and creative as you like; however, keep it clean and simple.  For example, don’t put your name in one corner, your phone number in another corner, and so on.  This is the information your clients need to access and placing it here, there, and everywhere on your business card appears disorganized and will not get you or your business noticed or remembered.  All pertinent information should be together and printed in an easy-to-read font.

Stick with Standard Sizing

Business cards have always been 2” x 3.5”, and they should remain that size.  Some people choose to print bigger business cards to “get them noticed.”  More than likely, their business card is thrown in the trash.  Business card holders, wallet inserts for business cards, and Rolodex-type business card holders are standard size.  To keep your business card in the file, whichever type that may be, stick with standard sizing.

Make it Yours

Business cards leave a lasting impression.  Use your logo, tagline, or trade symbol – just be sure to work with a designer to ensure the business card represents you and your business professionally.

How to Uniquely Market Your Business

Marketing your business takes a lot of work and creativity. The days of handing over business cards and knocking on doors are not over, but they are antiquated marketing strategies.  To market your business effectively, you need to be creative and think outside the box.  Getting a potential customer to notice your business is good, making them remember your business is great!  This article will give you some fantastic, unique ideas to market your business.

Custom Mugs

Almost everyone drinks coffee.  Giving a potential customer or an established customer a custom mug is a great way to advertise your business.  Every time someone picks up a mug, they usually look at the mug to make sure it is theirs.  If your business name, logo, or both are printed on the mug, it is a constant reminder of your business.  You also have the option of printing funny, inspirational, or calming slogans on the mug.  For example, if you own a landscaping business, you could put, “The grass is greener when it’s fertilized,” on the mug and print your company name on the other side or at the bottom. The possibilities are endless and your only limit is the space.  You do not want the custom mug to have too much writing because no one is going to sit and read a long spiel when they just want a cup of coffee. You simply want your company name noticed and remembered – often.  A bonus to marketing with custom mugs is that people who do not drink coffee often use mugs for pen and pencil holders.  This means the mug is sitting in one place and is seen many times daily.

If you have trouble coming up with exactly what to put on your mug, Guru Printers will help.  We can help you “see” what you are thinking of and even help you think of something if you are having trouble coming up with a design on your own.

Notepads

Think about the last office you visited, how many notepads did you see lying around?  There is always a notepad near for someone to jot something, list something, write down a phone number, or even doodle on.  If you provide notepads with your business name, logo, or both on them, every single time someone writes on one of them, your business is noticed.  People have a natural curiosity and will look at a picture, words, or a slogan on a notepad.  In addition, notepads have numerous sheets of paper and will therefore be a business advertisement for quite a while.

At Guru Printers, we offer four different sizes of notepads with either 25 to 50 sheets of paper.  This is a very economical and effective way to market your business.

Custom Tote Bags

Custom tote bags may just be the cream-of-the-crop when marketing your business.  Eco-friendly, reusable, and easy to carry, cotton canvas totes last a long time.  Picture your business name, logo, image, or all three on a custom tote.  Now imagine five people carrying that tote into every store they go in for the next 10 days.  Not only are the individuals carrying the tote aware of your business, everyone they pass who notices the tote has just been informed about your business.  That is huge exposure for your company.

You can have a funny message, a captivating picture, or just your company’s name and logo printed on the custom tote.  No matter where you go, people are going to notice that custom tote bag.  At Guru Printers, we carry 6 oz. cotton canvas, 9” x 13” custom tote bags that can be printed on one side or both.  If you need help designing, give us a call at (213) 612-4451 (Downtown) or (213) 935-8657 (Arts District).

The Holidays Are Close! Gifts for Your Customers

Yes, it is only October but time is flying and Christmas Day is only 10 weeks away!  It will not be long before the holidays are here and then we will be welcoming 2017.  Therefore, it is time to start thinking about gifts.

Family, friends, and co-workers are pretty much the standard on anyone’s gift list.  However, if you are a business owner or manager, you need to think about the people who keep your company profitable all year – your customers.  Giving a holiday gift to a customer demonstrates that you appreciate their business.  It makes a customer feel valued and important.  It is also a great strategic move for your business because customers who feel appreciated will return.

First Things First

If you are sending greeting cards for the holiday season, the following tips will help ensure you (and your business) are remembered fondly:

  1. Greeting cards should be sent so that they arrive in mid-December. Keep in mind the post offices are busier than normal this time of year, so you need to allow for extra mailing time.
  2. Never, ever send an electronic greeting card (e-card). It is impersonal and unprofessional.  As it takes very little effort to send an e-card, your customers will feel as if they are worth very little.
  3. Sign the card yourself. Greeting cards from businesses are usually printed with the business name, and that is perfectly acceptable; however, under your company’s name on the card, you – as the owner or manager – need to sign it.  A simple note such as, “Thanks for your business, John Doe,” is extremely meaningful to the recipient.

Greeting cards are a gesture of kindness, goodwill, and appreciation in the business world.  Order yours early so you have plenty of time to get them signed and mailed.

Gift Ideas

When considering gifts for your customers, you are actually doing two different things.  First, you are saying thank you and showing your appreciation for their business.  Secondly, you are offering a constant reminder of your business.

Almost everyone drinks coffee and that is why custom coffee mugs are always a great business gift.  Every time a customer picks up their coffee mug, they are picking up your business logo or advertisement.  It is a win-win situation.

Notepads make another very useful gift.  Every office has notepads in just about every room.  You never know when something needs to be jotted down.  A notepad with your company’s logo is constantly in use and serves as a reminder of your business as well as the generosity of the gift.

A fantastic gift for customers is a custom tote bag.  Eco-friendly, reusable, and easy to carry tote bags will come in handy for many years.  Whether they are used for a convention, a grocery store trip, a book bag, or any of the other thousands of tote bag uses, every single time the tote bag is picked up, your logo is seen.  Not only is it seen by the carrier of the tote bag, it is also noticed by every person they come in contact with.  That, my friends, is effective advertising!

Be Professional

Gifts for your customers should be professional, well-made, quality products.  The fact that you thought of your customer by giving them a tote bag will not last long if the tote bag rips on the first use.  At Guru Printers, we offer high-quality products, low prices, and outstanding customer service.  Family-owned and operated, we custom print all of the above-mentioned products as well as bookmarks, custom buttons, hang tags, and more at a price you can afford!  Call us at (213)612-4451 for all of your gift-giving needs.  We will be more than happy to help you thank your customers this holiday season.
